Week 23 - Nhlangano

Hi. I um, forgot to write last week. The beginning of the week was super busy and by the end I was like, ah I’ll just write Monday. It's ok though, nothing super interesting happened last week. But without further ado, let's talk about this previous week.

Monday:
I
Got
MCDONALD’S!!!!!!!!!
Now that I've thoroughly confused everyone in America, we went down to Richard's Bay in South Africa! Since it not South Africa, they had fast food other then KFC there, so we got us some Mickey D's. It was wonderful. We went to Richard's Bay because we have Zone Conference tomorrow and it's going to be with Richard's Bay this time around. We went down a day early because 1) It's a 5 hour drive and 2) We did our interviews with President De Kock today so we could drive home right after ZC tomorrow. So we drove down, got us some McDanks, and were at the Richard's Bay Chapel the rest of the day.

Tuesday: Zone Conference day, which as always was incredible. We had a training from the ZLs about our temple covenants and the importance of them as well as ways we can best utilize our time to be productive when you don't have lessons (it's harder then you might think). The AP's trained us on using visuals when teaching and President talked with us more about Finding the One™️, which is basically what Eswatini has been doing for the past year where we focus on bringing less active members back. After that we had lunch, which was very good, and we did birthdays and cleanest boarding (which Elder Maaboi and I won by the way) and then we headed home, but not without stopping at the Golden Arches one more time ðŸ˜€

Wednesday: No DC this week due to ZC, but it was still a good day. We did our boarding check for this transfer with the Petersons (still spotless ðŸ˜Ž) And met with the Africa South East Architect to go over plans for Nhlangano's New building we are trying to get. It's going to be hard work to get it to happen, but the branch will be much better off if it has its own building. After that we had some lessons and met this nice family. The mother works for World Vision, the dads a teacher of religious studies and Geography (I mentioned he must know a lot about the Middle East, I know I'm hilarious) and they have 3 kids. We are hoping we can talk with them more.

Thursday: We did exchanges with the Zone Leaders today, Elder Maaboi went to Ezulwini with Elder Lloyd and I stuck around with Elder Brown, who was also my ZL in Hillcrest, the Zone Imbali is in. Elder Brown is an incredible missionary and it was a pleasure to work with him. He's super energized and enthusiastic and ecstatic and other E words, and showed me how to teach more naturally. We also met with one of our yellow dots who, get this, also happens to be a religious education teacher. We also put one of our friends, Nosipho, on date!! She's getting baptized this coming Sunday, so we're super excited.

Friday: Got Elder Brown back to his area and got Elder Maaboi back. Had some lessons, nothing special. Well, other then the fact that our bakkie tried to give up on us, but we jumped it and it was fine after that.

Saturday: Did some service for some friends of ours, chopping wood ðŸªµðŸª“. Sho, chopping wood is tough. We did it for like an hour and I was Exhausted. We're gonna come back on Monday and try and finish it up. After that we did some lessons, did some finding, standard missionary things.

Sunday: Pain, agony even. Me legs, me arms, me hands, all in the aching fashion. But other then that, we did church, met with President Mkhonta (branch president), and met with some of our friends. Over all, pretty good week when all is said and done.

I hope everything is going well home side, sorry again for not writing last  week, but you'll hear from me again next Monday. Bye!
