Week 24 - Nhlangano

Monday: Chopped more wood, felt more pain. After that we headed to Manzini and didn't do much interesting. We had to get the Bakkie cleaned, but that was about it. Tuesday: Not much interesting, we drove for 30 minutes to get bunked, but while we were already pretty much 80% up a mountain, we decided to do the extra 20% and take pictures. After that, I had to face what we in the business call the consequences of my actions and figure out how to do a 20 point turn so we could make it back down the mountain without dying  Wednesday: District Council, I talked about something from Preach my Gospel (A guide to sharing the gospel). After that, we had some lessons, and put our friend Lucky on date! Elder Maaboi has this goal of baptizing a bunch of people on the same day, and getting other areas to do a bunch of their baptisms on the same day, so we can absolutely blow up the Eswatini Zone. It's going to be sick. Thursday: Today I assisted in building a house (surprisingly less tir

Hi. I um, forgot to write last week. The beginning of the week was super busy and by the end I was like, ah I’ll just write Monday. It's ok though, nothing super interesting happened last week. But without further ado, let's talk about this previous week. Monday:  I Got MCDONALD’S!!!!!!!!! Now that I've thoroughly confused everyone in America, we went down to Richard's Bay in South Africa! Since it not South Africa, they had fast food other then KFC there, so we got us some Mickey D's. It was wonderful. We went to Richard's Bay because we have Zone Conference tomorrow and it's going to be with Richard's Bay this time around. We went down a day early because 1) It's a 5 hour drive and 2) We did our interviews with President De Kock today so we could drive home right after ZC tomorrow. So we drove down, got us some McDanks, and were at the Richard's Bay Chapel the rest of the day. Tuesday: Zone Conference day, which as always was incredible. We had

Monday: Since it was New Years, we did a Zone P-Day… at a game reserve!!! It was awesome, we saw hippos, rhinos, elephants, giraffes, and lions. After that we did a braii and they we went back to Fairview and chilled there. After that though, not so good. I was rushing somewhere so I wasn't looking at the ground, and I got caught in a gutter, and hurt my leg, kinda a lot. I thought it was fine, so we drove home, and then it was not fine. Tuesday: As a result of my leg being hurt, I was not able to walk, so we stayed in today. I went to get checked out at a clinic, and they thought it was just a strained muscle, so I just had to rest. But ieesh, it was not fun. Hopefully it's the only day I have to stay in. Wednesday: District Council in person, since it was our last one of the transfer. It was really fun, and we went to get lunch afterwards, then did some more baptismal interviews (Ngwane Park is on fire with baptisms). Then we went home and had a couple lessons, nothing super

Week 20 🫣-Nhlangano

Yo! 20 weeks in, that's crazy... time flies when you're doing the Lord's work Monday: Sadly, no new bakkie this week, but a wonderful Christmas! Not only did I get to sleep in, but we got to go to the Petersons (not to be confused with the Petersons, the Petersons, or Elder Peterson) and eat an actually pretty American Christmas dinner. Ham, turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, the works. It was super awesome and an amazing gesture from the Petersons, it made the holidays easier for a lot of the missionaries, including myself, who were having their first Christmas away from family. That night I also started my very first exchange (where 2 companionships do a little trade, where one missionary stays in their area and the other goes to the other area) with the one and only Elder Millett. No better way to start it off then by driving back to Manzini  at 9:30  at night because Elder Maaboi still had the keys to the boarding 😀. So we stayed the night in Manzini with plan
