Week 15-Imbali

Monday: Elder Kearl is dead now ☠️ I am now the designated driver, so we may be dead soon as well. Other than that, nothing super interesting. Pulled a Scott Sterling and took a soccer ball kicked straight to the face though. Tuesday: So, as it turns out, recombining 2 areas into one is easier said than done. We had to pick and choose what lessons to and not to go to. We met with some of our people who came to church on Sunday. They all were doing great and said they'd be coming again next week. I also managed to get up to 80 KM/H without using any gas, which was pretty cool. Hills are dope when you're not working Wednesday: First DC with Elder Halcomb as our district leader again, it was pretty good. Other than that nothing super interesting. I did make a promise to become knowledgeable on Jacob chapter 5 by Saturday though, so wish me luck. We also didn't have power like all day this morning, and this is the second time the power has been extra funky… a little concerning

Week 14-Imbali

Monday: It was Elder Kearls final P-Day, he dies next week 🥲. We started the day doing gardening work at Sister Msomi's, and then we went to lunch at Pana-Rottis, and Italian place here. We then did some shopping around the mall and played more Rummikub (I won again, undefeated 😎) Tuesday: We turned one bunk into 3 lessons, absolutely stacked our Friday (more on that Friday) and got bunked a lot in the afternoon. I definitely felt the spirit in the lessons we had today though. However it was raining, and it's possible I caught a cold. Wednesday: We had our District Council with the Zone Leaders today, and Elder Brown went on exchange with Elder Dlamini so he could do a baptismal interview for the Pietermaritzburg missionaries. Nothing super eventful today. We met with Princess, whose testimony is getting more powerful every time we meet with her. That's about it though, we're building up to Friday 😈 Thursday: Yo, today was boring, we didn't have that many lessons

Week 13-Imbali

Hi guys... so I kinda forgot to keep track of the days as they were happening, so this email may be slightly lacking, but here goes Monday: Pretty boring P-Day, Elder Dlamini got his hair cut which took like two hours, then we shopped and played Rummikub (I won 😎) Tuesday: Nothing super interesting Wednesday: Zone Conference day!!! We had great trainings from our zone leaders, APs, and President and Sister De Cock. One really good think was the importance of member missionary moments. The benefit that comes from members helping out in missionary work, giving them a taste of the joy we spread, is not only helpful to the missionaries, but also the members and the person they're helping. I was also able to talk more with members of the Mission, which is always fun. Thursday: I decided to take Sister De Kocks advise and drink water throughout the day, it helped somewhat but it was still hot. Other than that nothing much happened. We tracted a less utilized area so no powerful lessons

Week 12-Imbali

Howsit folks, I hope everyone's doing well. I just realized that this is 3 months out, holy cow time flies by! Let's get right into it Monday: We couldn't go out to teach in the morning because our car was busted. But for lunch, I attempted to eat a McDonalds share bag. It consists of 1 Big Mac, 1 cheeseburger, 1 chicken burger, 1 spicy chicken burger, 2 regular and small fries, 2 regular and small drinks, and 10 nuggets, all for about 230 rand (12ish bucks). It was, what we in the business call, a mistake. I was able to eat everything but one small fry and a Big Mac. I was also dying. We also went to play golf, which I am moderately better at, and even got to play mini golf, though the course we played on wasn't very big. Tuesday: Had a really good appointment in the morning with Mandisa, who we think is really interested in our message. We also met with a less active member, tried to help him feel God's love for him even though he drifted away from the covenant pa
